A Custom Remap,
No Workshop Visit.
Mail order tuning is how most of our customers get tuned. We read the base data from your ECU, build a tune around your exact vehicle and any modifications, then get it back to you — either written back to your original ECU or loaded onto a replacement ready to plug in.
Every tune is built from the same dyno-verified data we use across our full tuning program. Mail order is a different delivery method, not a different standard.
Your vehicle, your mods, your driving. We develop all our tunes in house on our dyno.
Your factory ECU file is read and saved before anything is changed.
Questions after install? We're here. The relationship doesn't end at dispatch.
More Than Just
More Power.
A mail order remap covers the full depth of what an ECU remap can do. Beyond power and torque gains, we can configure a range of additional options as part of your tune.
Available options vary by vehicle and ECU. Let us know what you're after when you order and we'll confirm what's supported for your vehicle.
Fuel, timing, boost and more maps optimised for your exact engine and spec. The core of every remap.
Remove the factory speed limiter for track or off-road use where legally permitted.
Disable the EGR system in the ECU to complement a physical EGR delete or blanking kit.
DPF, AdBlue and other emissions system solutions. Availability varies by vehicle — get in touch to confirm.
Disable or clone the immobiliser system where required, typically for engine swaps or ECU replacements.
Adjust the glow plug cycle for improved cold starts in diesel applications.
Some ECUs Can't Be
Done Any Other Way.
The Powergate 4 handheld device covers a solid range of vehicles, but it has limits. Not every ECU supports OBD-port flashing, and some older or less common platforms require a direct read — which means mail order or a dyno tune is the only path to a remap.
If your vehicle isn't listed on the Powergate page, mail order is likely your option. We support a significantly broader range of ECUs through our bench-reading setup than any handheld device can reach.

(02) 6041 0710How long will my vehicle be without its ECU?
For send-in orders, your vehicle will be without the ECU from the time you post it until we return it. We target next business day tuning from the day we receive it, but postage time is on top of that. If you need zero downtime, the Exchange option ships you a tuned ECU before you remove yours, or the Loaner option provides a spare ECU to run while yours is with us.
Is a mail order tune as good as a dyno tune?
It's a different process, not an inferior one. Our mail order tunes are built from the same dyno-verified data we've developed over years of in-house tuning on real vehicles. A dyno tune is built and verified live on your specific vehicle in real conditions, which gives the tuner more to work with. Mail order is the right call when workshop time isn't an option — and for most vehicles it delivers excellent results.
Do I need to do anything special to remove my ECU?
ECU removal varies by vehicle. Generally it's a straightforward job — you disconnect the battery, locate the ECU (usually in the engine bay or cabin), unplug the connectors and remove any mounting bolts. You don't need to send brackets or harnesses, just the ECU unit itself. If you're unsure, a local auto electrician can remove and refit it for a small fee.
My vehicle isn't on the Powergate page. Can I still get a tune?
Yes — the Powergate device only covers vehicles that support OBD-port flashing. Many ECUs require a direct bench read, which is exactly what mail order tuning is for. Browse the full vehicle list and select a Send In or Outright option. If your vehicle isn't listed at all, get in touch and we'll let you know if we can support it.
What if the tune doesn't feel right after install?
Get in touch. We back every tune with a 1-year warranty and we're not hard to reach. If something doesn't feel right or you want adjustments made, we'll work through it with you. In most cases this is sorted with a revised tune file at no additional charge.
Can I specify how I want the tune built?
Yes, and we encourage it. When you order you'll be asked about your intended use and tune goals. Whether that's a conservative towing tune, an economy-focused daily, or maximum performance — your input shapes how we build it. The more context you give us, the better the result.
